Ramblings

So there is a new government in place and after much anti-Tory sentiment on facebook I have decided to write some of it here. We have seen an Eton Toff put in place to represent nothing but a select part of the country (I'm not talking about votes) with the support of a party which has surely sold its soul! Anyway I'm pleased my visa is through, I'm pleased my flights are booked and now its just a case of doing everything else.

So everything else...............VIT registration so that we can both teach out there, yet more evidence gathering. The difficulty is ensuring that a) you have all the evidence b) you don't cock it up first time of asking. Its trying to make the transition between the language of British qualifications and Australian forms that causes most confusion. Clearly in Oz they place a lot of emphasis on being exact with how much experience you have, whereas in UK its more about saying 'yeah you did what you needed, now go sort those kids out.'

We are excited but having had quotes for everything, after speaking to all sorts of people we have to make some decisions now. We've done everything and nothing! Role on the next 105 days!

Sit Back and Enjoy the wait

So having just been to the pub with the lads we were again talking about the move to Australia. Steve has his visa and Bex and I just wait. Current timeframes, supposed timeframes, etc., seem to mean very little in reality.

But having submitted at the end of January I was hoping that we would have heard by now from Australia House, but you can only assume they have a full workload and are working to get to my application.

Great thing is it will all be worthwhile. Father-in-Law currently on his boat sailing to Tazzy, whilst Brother-in-Law awaits the Melbourne Grand Prix it a nice late Summer/Autumnal sunshine. That will make it worth the wait.

First Effort

Never thought I'd ever create a blog but here I am. Still unsure what makes people think what I have to say is even interesting.

Anyway the wife and I are off to Australia...the Big Move! Awaiting our Spousal Visa and have heard a rumour today that all those who applied in January like us will be waiting until May. Not buying into that too much as they did say 3-4 months for the visa to be granted, which ties in with this supposed information provided by a case officer. They wouldn't at the end of the day say that it would be ready in 3-4 months in the first instance and then change their mind later on and then get everyone asking when their's may come. We shall just wait and see I suppose.

Anyway, I should be planning my lessons for tomorrow not fannying on with a bloody blog.
